Web 2.0

In the most basic sense, Web 2.0. can be viewed as the next step in the evolution of the World Wide Web. Unlike Web 1.0. which allowed for limited interaction between the source of information and those accessing it, Web 2.0. incorporates the use of technologies such as blogs and wikis as a means of facilitating interaction amongst mediums. As a result individuals are no longer viewed as passive in their approach to gathering information, rather they are encouraged to participate in the creation of information on various levels.
